PREPPERS WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG: FOOD IS BEING WIPED OUT DESPERATION MAY SOON SET IN

Mar 18, 2020 | Uncategorized

There has been nothing less than a complete overreaction by the unprepared masses for the coronavirus pandemic. Even the mainstream media is admitting that preppers were right all along as they have remained calm knowing they have all the food and supplies they need.

For those in the often-mocked “prepper” community, this is quickly becoming their “I told you so” moment, reported the Washington Times. But many preppers are resisting saying that, even if it’s in the back of their minds. What they hope is that they’ll finally be taken seriously and that more people will follow their lead. When one has prepared, the need to go into a crowded grocery store during a pandemic to buy a cart full of toilet paper is nonexistent.

All of a sudden, the panic buying caused by a level of fear perpetuated by the mainstream media has led to people emptying grocery stores in a frenzy.  Preppers have been proven correct in their preparedness, but unfortunately, it’s not a time to gloat.  All the desperate masses will cause a different kind of crisis.

We all know what happens when a TV is $100 off on Black Friday.  Now the shelves are bare at many grocery stores across the country, and if the panic doesn’t subside soon, we’ll have desperation and a Great Depression to deal with.

But preppers can learn from this too.  Having supplies is one thing, but another layer is dealing with the unprepared masses.  If your grocery store looks like mine, there’s no toilet paper to be found. Now is the time to find alternatives so we won’t have to use our stockpile.  Baby wipes (don’t flush these please, even if they say flushable) and getting a bidet all of a sudden are very excellent options.  If you don’t use all the baby wipes during this panic, you will have them available for the next one.  If you get a bidet, you won’t need much in the way of paper products and could be fine without any at all giving you a powerful bartering item.

When a frazzled woman is crying in the paper aisle because she can’t find toilet paper, it’s nice to be able to offer solutions and help at least one person.  Some people, it seems just want chaos, and that will probably never change. But some, especially after this pandemic, will be more open to learning about preparedness. The more people we can help, the less the chances of dealing with this mass fear and panic in the future.

The point is that as preppers, we can try to help others and we can learn to find alternatives to commonly stored items if they just cannot be found.  To be honest, at this point, I’m not avoiding the public out of fear of getting the virus.  I simply don’t want to be around a large crowd of panicked people.

There is a certain amount of calm that you have when you know you’ve been mocked for being prepared, but now you don’t have to worry about things for a while.
